I ordered this in black and have to go back and order it in the saddle color. That would take care of all my handbag needs for years, except black tie occasions when I'd carry a clutch anyway. I never thought I would be able to use a bag this small, but because of the zippered flap pocket with the c.c. slots, I can. Also, while small, it is not tiny; it's a happy medium between huge pocketbooks and mini bag or wallet- on -string varieties.
I keep coins in the bottom of the zippered exterior pocket, folded bills in one of the c.c. slots, debit card in another, I.D. in the next, and loyalty cards in another. I put all the other stuff in the main compartment. It is so easy when I go to pay for something; I just unzip the zipper. I dislike changing purses so when the zipper broke on my old purse I did a lot of shopping for THE purse that that would take care of all but my formal needs. I wanted a cross body shoulder strap, as well as a purse that would hold a separate wallet, sunglasses, as well as adequate room to put whatever else I might need for travel. This purse is very roomie without being bulky. The zipper to the main compartment is metal which I really liked since it would get a lot of use. The leather is of excellent quality, and the fabric backing on the shoulder strap keeps it from slipping off my shoulder when I choose not to use it as a cross body strap. The only negative that I found is that the unzippered pockets in the main section tend to gap bit, and small notebooks and other items of similar size that I try to hurriedly shove in there can catch on them.
